ABOUT
Betty Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and a National Certified Counselor.
Betty received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree from Trinity Washington DC in Clinical Mental Health in Counseling.
Betty has several years of experience providing individual, group, and family counseling. As a solution-focused counselor, Betty focuses on solutions and believes most people already possess at least the minimal skills necessary to create solutions. Betty is also eclectic in her treatment approach to ensure the treatment plan matches specific, unique needs.
For over twenty years, Betty coordinated different community engagement and systems-change initiatives focused on reducing the overbearing load of stress on families. This work with the state and communities brought Betty closer to families. Helping families, and her, better understand the impact poverty, domestic violence, and mental health challenges have on families.
